General

What is the SparkleUp Dance Marathon?

A weekend made for social dancers in Tunisia: parties, short workshops and open floors, dusk till dawn, from the team behind the Tunisia Bachata Festival.

When is the 2027 Marathon?

SparkleUp Dance Marathon 2027 takes place on 3–7 de junio de 2027.

Where does the Marathon take place?

In Tunisia, a short flight from most of Europe. The 2027 venue is revealed soon on the Venue page.

Which dance styles are there?

Bachata, salsa, kizomba and zouk rooms, with DJs from across Europe and North Africa.

Who are the artists and DJs?

The 2027 lineup is announced soon on the Artists page. Follow us so you hear first.

Who organises the Marathon?

SparkleUp Events, the team behind the Tunisia Bachata Festival. SparkleUp Events is the trading name of TBF HOLD CO LTD (being renamed SparkleUp Events), a company registered in England and Wales.

How do I stay up to date?

Lineup, venue and passes are announced soon. Follow us on Instagram so you hear first.

Entradas y pago

Which passes are there, and what do they cost?

Passes and their prices are announced soon on the Tickets page.

How do I pay, and do prices include taxes?

Online, in euros (EUR), taxes included. You pay on our payment provider’s secure page, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut Pay; we never see or store your card number.

Prices can change between sales rounds: the price of your order is the one shown when you pay.

Is there a minimum age?

You must be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket.

How do I receive my tickets?

By email, right after payment: the tickets and the receipt go to the buyer’s email address, and they also show on the confirmation page. Each ticket has its own QR code, made for the person named on it.

What do I show at the entrance?

Your ticket’s QR code, on your phone or printed, and an identity document: each pass is personal, and the name on the ticket must match the identity document shown at the entrance.

Keep your QR code to yourself: a ticket code can be used only once.

Why do you ask for my ID number?

Each pass is personal, and we check ID at the entrance. For every pass holder we ask for: full name, email address, phone number, identity card or passport number, and gender.

The document number is encrypted and never printed on your ticket.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final: tickets are not refundable unless the event is cancelled. If it is cancelled, every ticket holder is refunded to the original payment method.

If the event is postponed, your ticket stays valid for the new dates.

Can I transfer my ticket or change the name on it?

Yes, until one month before the first day of the event, for a fee of €10 per ticket. Write to contact@tunisiabachatafestival.com; the new holder gives the details every pass holder gives (name, email, phone, identity document number, gender).

After that date, passes stay with their holders. Only hotel and accommodation bookings can still be transferred to another guest, for a fee of €50.

Can I resell my ticket?

No. Unauthorised resale or duplication of tickets is not allowed, and tickets resold or copied may be cancelled. To pass your ticket on, ask for an official transfer instead.

What do I agree to when I buy a ticket?

By buying, you accept the terms of sale, the refund and transfer policy and the Code of Conduct, in the versions in force on the day of your order.

You also agree to receive service emails about your order and the event, and information and marketing emails about SparkleUp Events festivals. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in each email; service emails about your order continue.

Who do I contact about my order?

Write to us at contact@tunisiabachatafestival.com, or reply to your order confirmation email.

Programa

When is the programme published?

The 2027 programme is published once the lineup is complete, on the Programme page.

Can the programme change?

Yes. We may change schedules, artists, rooms or venues when needed; the event remains substantially as described.

Conducta y seguridad

Is there a Code of Conduct?

Yes. The SparkleUp Events Code of Conduct applies to every event we produce, and to everyone present: attendees, artists, teachers, DJs, staff, volunteers, photographers, vendors, sponsors and organisers. Agreeing to it is a condition of registration.

The version in force for an event is the version published 30 days before that event opens.

What does the Code ask of me on the dance floor?

Ask first: get clear consent before dancing closely, adjusting someone’s frame or posture, or taking photos. “No” is a complete answer, and anyone may stop a dance at any point.

Dance safely: dips, lifts and drops only ever happen by mutual agreement, and never in a crowded space. Nobody should be pressured into drinking.

What should I do if something doesn’t feel right?

Tell us, with your name or completely anonymously: approach any visibly identified member of the Safety Team, use the event’s confidential online reporting tool (shared with all participants before the event opens), or write to the Conduct Committee. During event hours, the Safety Team acknowledges every report within two hours.

You can also ask us for medical care, a quiet safe space, help getting back to your accommodation, or support in contacting the local authorities.

What happens if someone breaks the Code of Conduct?

Outcomes match the seriousness of the breach: from a reminder of the Code or conditions for the rest of the event, up to removal from the event without refund and a ban from future events (this event, every SparkleUp event, or partner events too). A removal during the event is reviewed by the Conduct Committee within 24 hours.

Will I be photographed or filmed?

Yes: photography and filming take place during the event. Official photographers and videographers are identifiable while working, and their images may be used to promote SparkleUp events. If you would rather not appear in official media, tell them. If you appear in an image and want it removed after the event, write to contact@tunisiabachatafestival.com and we will take it down.

Personal filming is welcome in social areas, but ask before recording an individual or a couple dancing.
